  1. Hi Lloyd,

    A lot of these showreels have subjects that just won't work well for reconstruction. Reconstruction needs LOTS of overlap, redundancy, and consistent detail. Trying to piece different movie footage of Time Square is problematic, as the signs change constantly, and so there will be nothing to match. Big Ben only shows a very small number of shots that show the entire Houses of Parliment, and the clock-face changes through time so will probably not match.

    Having said that, taking a 5 second pan shot of any specific clip, and reconstructing with full framerate may work okay, as there is good consistency between frames.
